To all my fellow citizens
I am proud to be an Indian, for her rich heritage, her contribution for the development and betterment of mankind. I am proud to be an Indian for her culture and traditions. My country harbours a variety of religions, neumrous sects and casts and so on and so forth, still from North(kashmir) to the southern most tip of India, we are ONE. Most of us are peace loving, hardworking and forward looking, always eager to make friends and never have believed in violence. I am in love with my country, which more or less believes in Hinduism, not a religion but a culture, which inturn believes in individuality, totality (may not be in perfection), which teaches AHAM BRAHMASHMI(to guide onelself).MY country teaches of universal brotherhood not hatred, tolerence, self penence but not killings, and most important TO RESPECT ALL. All Indians are my brothers and sisters(EXCEPT a very few).I am proud of my country’s development, her economy, her technology and independence. I am certainly proud of the glorious past of my country, as well as I am proud of her present,her marvellous future ahead and the present role of my country in the world. There are so many more or all the reasons one can think of, for being a PROUD INDIAN. I can feel my hair rising with excitement when I say I AM A PROUD INDIAN.….
